He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert W. Schaefer and Louise Schaefer (Kleber). He is survived by : his wife Marijean; his sister-in-law Joyce Jewell; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Jackson Hoffmann (Henryk) of Lititz, PA, Philip L. Jackson (Carol) of Beacon, NY, Timothy A. Jackson of Alfred, ME, Veronika Feesche Freeman (Gil) of Frankfort, NY, Diane Zobro of Cato, NY and Andrew Parker (Mary) of Baldwinsville, NY..

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hollis Funeral Home (1105 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204). A family service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
