Evelyn James Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 28, 2023, at the age of 98, Evelyn James of Rensselaer, New York, born in Copake, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Everett Pectal and Catherine Pectal (Krick); her former life partner Wilbur Decker; her husband Herbert James; her brother George Pectal; and her pet Lani.

She is survived by : her sons, Kim Decker (Marcella) and Kraig Decker (Lindaand); her stepdaughter Barbara Williams; her grandchildren, Matthew Decker (Denise), Joshua Decker (Mary Beth) and Lindsey Mortimer (Chris); her sister Lucene Harrington; and her nieces and nephews, Carol Gansowski, Jackie Dextraze, Rhea Buchan, Risa Harrington, Michael Harrington and Jimi Harrington. She is also survived by 4 step great-grandchildren.
