With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan C. Schilling (Rensselaer, New York), born in Kingston, New York, who passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan C. Schilling to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Betley and Gladys Betley Sr. (Addis); her daughter Margaret A. Hayes; her son-in-law Michael P. Hayes; her close friend Anthony Rullo; and her siblings, Joseph J. Betley Jr., Helen Dunham, Therese Overbeek, Gladys Kullman, Stephen Betley and Laura Lee Tiano.

She is survived by : her daughters, Mary Rooks (Mark) and Donna LaFalce (Scott); her grandchildren, Stephen Hayes, Andrew Hayes (Sara), Walter Rooks, Matthew Rooks (Esther), Kristina LaFalce (Steven), Ryan LaFalce (Chloe) and Sean LaFalce (Molly); and her great grandchildren, Russell, Desmond Hayes and Santino Bruno. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. (165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
