He is survived by : his wife Suzanne (Snyder); his sons, Jack Nelson (Alonna), Tom Nelson (Donna), Bob Nelson and Carl Nelson (Amy); his daughter-in-law Susan; and his grandchildren, Melissa Skahill (Mark), Abby Luciano, Cooper Nelson (Heather), Connor Nelson, Amy Cremo (Anthony), Dan Nelson (Geena), Steven Nelson (Liz), Sean Nelson, Andrew Nelson, Anthony Nelson and John Nelson. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
