He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Coons and Jane Semans Coons; his brother Robert (Mina); and his stepdaughter Jennifer. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Coons; his children, Brian Coons Doug (Linda), Timothy Boyd (Lacey), Gregory Boyd, Missy, Melinda, Chelsea, Connie, Henry, Gernot, Vladyslav, Alejandra and Erwin; his siblings, Ed Coons James Coons (Kathy) and Jean Coons (late Ron); and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Taylor, Kasey Olivia, Brendan, Arianna, Phoebe and Hannah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Vischer Ferry Fire Department (360 Riverview Rd, Rexford, NY 12148).
