He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gunnar Nygaard and Edna Nygaard (Twetan); his wife Heather Nygaard (Aitken); his sons, Ian and Shane Nygaard; and his siblings, Sissel Rowe (Tom), Kristin Donovan (Mike), Eva Wood (Dan) and Gordon Nygaard (Shelly). He was also cherished by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers an educational trust to benefit Ian and Shane's education has been made, checks can be made out to Heather Nygaard, or one may contribute to Greg & Jamie Stuckey's ministry at https://reliant.org.
