She was predeceased by : her parents, Genevieve Landrum and Oren Landrum; her husband Robert R. Gross; her brother Owen Landrum; her close friend Ben Reifler; and her stepson David Gross.
She is survived by : her siblings, Genevieve Ransom and James MacDonald Landrum (Donna); her children, Louis, Elizabeth (Betsy), Jacaruso (David Foster), Deborah (Gross), Rodriguez (Hector Rodriguez) and Wendy Maitland (Gross); and her granddaughter Cara Joy Hamill (David Ifill).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joy's honor to the Rhinebeck Rotary Club.
