He was predeceased by: his parents, Kaufmann August and Emma Catharine Menze (Meyer); and his brothers, Arnold and Christian. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Paul Menze of Saugerties, NY, Lawrence Menze (Gretta) of Pine Plains, NY and Christine Addonizio (Anthony) of Mahopac, NY; and his grandchildren, Jake, Dillon and Jillian.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burnett & White Funeral Home (91 E Market St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Good Shepherd Church (3 Mulberry St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernest's memory to Iona University.
