He was predeceased by: his parents, John Besze and Marie Kuhn; his wife Nellie Rae Shahan; and his brother Gerald. He is survived by: his children, Vincent J. Besze (Heather), Bryan C. Besze (Elaine) and Jennifer Gleason (Charles Gleason Jr.); his sister Suzanne Harris; his brother-in-law Fredrick Harris; his grandchildren, Jonathon Besze (Carla Cinelli), Brittney Patsey (Adam Patsey), Devin Besze (Maryssa), Benjamin Besze (Maggie Nealy) and Caiden (Reece Gleason); his great grandchildren, Gianna Skelly, Enzo Besze and Sophia Patsey; his nephew Steven Bradshaw; his great-niece Leann Andrews (Chris Andrews); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Shahan, Isabelle Faison and Robert Shahan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dapson Chestney Funeral Home (51 W Market St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572).
