She is survived by: her sons, Robert Lerondus (Sharon) of Southampton and James Cornelius (Karen) of Bowie, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Robert Alexander, Dyani Brown, James Christopher (Aftan), Dyashwa, Karen Nicole, Nykwan George and Najiyyah George; her siblings-in-law, Ruth Glasper of Elizabeth City, NC, Melvia Proctor Banks of Elizabeth City, NC and George Bell (NJ); her niece Connie Carver Melton of Marietta, GA; and her great-nieces, Joyce Roach and Renee Richards.
