She was predeceased by: her son Clemente Ruggiero; her parents, Luigi LaPietra and Marianna LaPietra; her siblings, Immaoclata Maccariello (Felice), Caterina Ruggiero (Nicola) and Angelo LaPierta (Maria Loreta); her sister-in-law Clementina LaPietra; her nephew Luigi LaPietra; and her niece Carmela Guerney.

She is survived by: her husband Frank Ruggiero; her daughter Emma Ruggiero; her granddaughters, GraceAnn and Marisa Speranza; her great grandchild Gianna Bonin; and her siblings, Raffale LaPietra, Attilo LaPietra (Maria) and Giovannina Casale (Domenico). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
