She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Smithgall; her parents, Mary Ann Asam and John; her parents-in-law, James and Lucille Smithgall; her sister Suzanne Winter (Paul); her niece Madelyn Winter; her sisters-in-law, Suzanne Burt (David), Doris Barbeau (Stephen) and Cindy Palmer (Jerry); her friend Lisa Wetzel (Scott); and her goddaughters, Alexis Wetzel and Caterina Vasile. She was also cherished by two nieces, three nephews, and many cousins.
