He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kamal Richane and Eleanor Stauffer; his brother-in-law James Stauffer; and his mother Atfah Richane. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Richane; his daughter Holly Jacobs (Curtis); his grandson HendrixJacobs; and his siblings, Elaine Richane and Robert Richane (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
