Carol E. Latta Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 7, 2025, at the age of 79, Carol E. Latta (Rochester, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her significant other David McEneany; her sister Mary Latta; her children, Chris Manning (Anna), Holly Mayer (John), Jennifer Heelen (Patrick), Patrick McEneany and Scott McEneany (Michele); her grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Calder, Carter, Cate, Craig, Elle, Elise, Finn, Josh, Holly Skye, Kathleen, Maggie, Tim, Zoe and Manning; her mother Carol; Carol.

Carol was an active member of the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science (ASRAS) from 1999 to present including many years in leadership roles, President for 5 Years, Founder of the Young Astronomers Program, and named Fellow of the Rochester Academy of Science for her 25 years of contribution to astronomy outreach – exposing thousands to the wonder of the billions and billions.
