She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Francisco Barrera and Gilma; her husband Tony (Tony); and her sister Leonor (Hugo). She is survived by: her niece Clara; her son Dean; her daughter-in-law Teresa (Terri) of Petersburg, VA; her daughter Michelle; her son-in-law Merle Cardulla Heath of Rochester, NY; her granddaughters, Adrienne, Natalie and Melanie Cardulla; her siblings, Nelly Simbaqueba and Luis Barrera Téllez; her siblings' children, Sandra (Juan Carlos), Diana, Jorge, Pablo and Sergio of Bogotá Colombia; her parents-in-law, Janet Cardulla, Marylou, Jim Scherbyn, Joanne Heck and Richard Cardulla; her nieces, Donna, Roxanne, Christine and Jackie (Brian); and her friends, Clara Moreno, Andrea Fineman, Angela Amato, Judi Salsburg Taylor, Julie, Dave Boland, Fanny, Jairo Rojas, Mary and Angelo Lopez.
