He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Washington and Elizabeth Washington; and his sister Dorothy Williams. He is survived by: his children, Melinda Powell, Connell Jr. (Shaun), Michael Steward and Alexandria Johnson; and his siblings, Debra Young (Reggie), Josephine, WendelL and Mattie Short (Dennis). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a host of stepchildren, cousins.
