He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa A. Hamer; his parents, Charles Hamer and Mary Hamer; and his brother Lance Hamer. He is survived by: his children, Djuanetta Britt (Terry), Dalton Sr. Hamer (Ashley), Deidra Hamer and Ronda Hamer Jackson; his siblings, Deborah Hughes, Craig Hamer, April Richardson and Trent Hamer; his grandchildren, Chelise Hunter (Terrance), Chandra Manning, Desmond Williams, Damani Johnson, D'niah Johnson, Dalton Hamer Jr., Ashton Hamer, Josiah Jenkins and Payge Jeffries; his sibling Zyona Hunter; his cousin Larry Harrison; and his close friend Bob Shultz. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
