He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Beverly Kelly (Klos); his parents, Edward Kelly and Cecilia Kelly (Dollen); and his brother Msgr. He is survived by: his children, John (Karen), Bernard (Susan), Cecilia Maffett (Steven), Charles (Mary Jane) and Mary Catherine Vander Linden (Joseph); his grandchildren, Ian Kelly, Ashlan Carter (Kyle), Noelle Kelly, Brandin Kelly (Jennifer), Christina Kelly (Joseph), Megan Maffett, Elizabeth Johnson (Keith), Tessa Kelly, Benjamin and Lauren Vander Linden; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Kent (Nancy) and Barbara Kelly. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or School of the Holy Childhood.
