With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gary E. Smith of Rochester, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gary left this world on July 15, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric P. Smith and Christine Ruth Smith; his siblings, Constance, Mark, Pete, Evan Noel and Dale; his grandson Eamon Callanan (Jeffrey Smith); and his stepson Don Wetzel.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Karen Callanan, Gary E. Smith, Jr. (Sabrina), Eileen Edsall (Randy), Gregory Smith and Kathleen Schindler (Scott); and his brother Leal. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his youngest.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the American Red Cross.
