He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret "Peggy" Thompson and Robert Thompson; and his sister Judy Thompson Cripps. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Duckworth Thompson; his children, Gayle Schueller (Randy) of Austin and Richard Thompson (Sarah) of Greece; and his grandchildren, Aren Thompson, Lexie Schueller Richards (Mjnari), Garrett Schueller and Jackson Schueller.
