He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; and his sister Mary Dedie. He is survived by: his children, John (Patricia Nowakowski), Mary Ellen Higgins (Kevin) of Rochester, James (Sheila Vaughan) and Mark (Kerry) of Rochester. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew, nieces and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pius Tenth Church in George's memory.
