He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie A. Schmidt; and his son Daniel Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Brown and John Schmidt (Sue); and his grandchildren, Steven Halter, Jon Schmidt, Kyle Schmidt (Alexandra), Amy Schmidt, Rachael Schmidt and Melissa Reaves (Omar). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
