He was predeceased by: his wife Chrisanthi Gitsis; his parents, Ilias and Victoria; and his siblings, Dionysus, Sotirios, Stergios and Florika.
He is survived by: his brother Christos Gitsis; his children, Ilias Gitsis (Patricia) and Vaciliki Papademetriou (Stephanos); his grandchildren, Eleni Gitsis Papademetriou, Jerry Gitsis and Chrysan Gitsis; and his friend Jerry Pappas. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's memory to the American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, or Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
