The family announces the passing of Herbert H. Wise of Rochester, New York on October 11, 2026. Herbert, born on October 1, 1942, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Herbert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Herbert by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Herbert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Herbert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Wise and Mary Wise of Hartville, Ohio.; his son Herbert Wise (Hal); his siblings, David Wise and Mary August; and his sister-in-law Jody Hymes.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; and his siblings, Robin Wise of Vancouver and Jon Wise (Shawn) of Wadsworth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Third Presbyterian Church (4 Meigs St, Rochester, NY 14607).
