He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Ferugia; his siblings, Jack Hilbert and Ann Mastrodonato; and his parents, James Hilbert and Anna Hilbert.

He is survived by: his wife Mae Hilbert; his sons, James (Brenda) and Frank (Maria); his son-in-law Michael Ferugia; his grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Danielle, Matt, Nicole, Christina, Julie, Stephen, Anthony and James; and his siblings, Maggie Hill, Mary Rita Scanlon (Joe) and Paul Hilbert. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
