With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean E Hannon of Rochester, New York, born in Olean, New York, who passed away on December 12, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ander and Selma Karlsson Swanson; her husband James Eugene "Gene" Hannon; and her siblings, Sigurd, Richard Swanson and Mary Ann Prenatt.

She is survived by: her children, Kristine A. Hannon of Rochester, John M. Hannon (Nancy) of Ridgewood, Kevin J. Hannon (Anne), Steven M. Hannon of Orlando, Matthew J. Hannon (Denys) of Chapel Hill, James Eugene Hannon Jr. (Nancy Williams) of Lanexa, Patrick F. Hannon, Andrew K. Hannon (Susan) of Olean and Bridget M. Forth (Charles) of Hamburg; and her grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Mark, Erin, Sean, Colleen, Molly, Meghan, Henry, Jane, Brynne, Erik, Emily, Stephanie, Jack, Alec and Madelyn. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels Church.
