She was predeceased by: her husband James DeWitt Ring; her parents, Walter L. Whelehan, Sr. and Louise Herman Rauber; her brother Walter L. Whelehan, Jr.; and her grandson Andrew Durbin.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Edwards (James), Michael Ring (Anita), Mary Lee Durbin (Ronald), Norma Cummings (James), Joan Markis (William) and DeWitt Ring (Marta); and her sister Mary Lou Haag Mikel. She is also survived by grandchildren (24), great-grandchildren (39), great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veterans Outreach and Salvation Army. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Jean Whelehan Ring 's name.
