We announce the death of Jeffrey D. Gorwaiz (Rochester, New York), who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 63. Jeffrey will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gorwaiz and Phyllis Gorwaiz; and his loyal companions, Brandy, Winston and Blackjack.
He is survived by: his wife Lora Bauman-Gorwaiz; his mother-in-law Diane Bauman; his sisters, Cindy (Rob Bolton) and Sherry (Walt Scott); his nieces, Kimberly (Tim Smith) and Julie (Richard Rowlands); and his nephew Andrew (Leah Bolton).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester, or to the dedicated research efforts at Johns Hopkins Medicine's Myelitis and Myelopathy program, honoring Jeff's memory.
