He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Burke Jr. and Claudia Portis (Thomas); his daughter Jerese Portis; his siblings, Tanya Portis, Sunny Portis, David Portis and Claudia Wilson-Ussery (Anthony); and his mother-in-law Eva Wellborn.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Wellborn; his children, Quetisha Monique, Cory Parks, Lannique, Akyra Ashley, Brittaney George and Candice Ashley; his grandchildren, Amouri George, Aminah George, Zaire Howell, Davihon Henderson, Micah Henderson, Caydence Lingo, Gracie Ashley, Caylan Bradley and Cory Jr.; his stepchildren, Michael Wellborn, Maurice Brooks, Nakeeta Brooks and Roosevelt Brooks, IV; his stepgrandchildren, Breon, Tyrell, Diamond, Amira, Jkayra, Sanyia, Maurice Jr., Royalty Brooks and Princess; his siblings, Cornelius Portis and Lisa Portis; his sisters-in-law, Wendolyn Jackson, Cynthia Wellborn and Camille Wellborn; his father-in-law Marshall Welborn; and his uncle John Thomas Portis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Hope Evangelical Church (464 Hawley St, Rochester, NY 14611). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Westside Cemetery (60 Stryker Rd, Scottsville, NY 14546).
