He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie G. Dukes and Hester Dukes (Mitchum); his wife Bertha Lee Dukes (Johnson); his son Roy Dukes; and his siblings, George, Fred, Harris, James G., Marlon "Paully", Ila, Geneva, Suelie, Ester Lee and Nathine.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Dukes; his grandchildren, Alvis Dukes, Richard Dukes, Nikeia Dukes, Shalonda Dukes, David Ralph, Jasmine Cassevoy and Jemel Kiner; and his sister Stella Bennett. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends.
