Joan (McCorry) F. Powers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2025, Joan (McCorry) F. Powers of Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John; her sons, David and Daniel; and her brothers, Kenneth, George, Robert and James.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas (Kathleen), Patricia (Mark), Susan (Alan) and Sharon; her daughters-in-law, Colleen and Dorothy; her sister-in-law Theresa McCorry; and her friend Peg Roach. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Cross Church (4492 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church in her memory.
