He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Surace and Frank Surace; his parents-in-law, Rose and Michael Loria; his sisters, Mary Morabito (Joseph), Anna Biondi, Geraldine Berardicurti (Alex), Rose Scarlata (Carl), Frances Surace, Libby Loria and Russell Loria; and his son-in-law Richard N. LoMonaco.
He is survived by: his wife Marie A. Surace; his children, Joseph Surace Jr. (Piao Yue) and Suzanne LoMonaco (Tony Girardi); his grandchildren, Richard LoMonaco, Chelsey LoMonaco and Mackenzie Don (Daniel); his brothers, Fred Surace (Elaine) and Carmen Surace; his siblings-in-law, Michael Biondi and Jean Markese; and his sisters, Josephine Loiacano (Frank), Frances Boskow (Tom) and Marianna Surace (Pat Cinotti). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews & cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626).
