He was predeceased by: his stepbrothers, Tom Hartmann (Dodie), John Hartmann (Martina) and Jim Hartmann (Tarra); his father Joseph L. Marks; and his sisters, Beth Dockstater (Dan), Cherrie Wight (Richard), Eileen Covey (Tom), Helen Hust (late Joanne Ackerman), Leslie Halstead (Alan), Nancy Marino (late Rebecca Marks) and Rhonda Litherland (Edward).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Climer (Cummins); his children, Shawn M. Climer (Kelly) and Michele M. Noskie (Jason); his grandson Cameron M. Vargo (Amanda); his stepmother Esma Climer; his siblings, Charles E. Climer (Debra) and Marie C. Preston (late James); his mother Josephine Ackerman (Griffin); his brother Charles Ackerman (late Rhys Marks); and his friend Tim. He is also survived by his family including many nieces, nephews and cousins.
