We announce the death of John B. Devitt (Rochester, New York), who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 63. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Devitt and Elizabeth Devitt. He is survived by: his brother William Devitt; his nieces and nephews, Kari Devitt (Mike Crimi), Morgan Devitt, James Devitt (Brittany Willey) and Holly Devitt (Justin Voorhees); and his great-nephews, William Voorhees and Walker Voorhees. He is also survived by cousins & dear friends.
