It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Mahoney in Rochester, New York, born in Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Janet. He is survived by: his friend Brenda Horn; his children, Barbara Mapes, Debra Reichhart (Lawrence Reichhart), Michael Mahoney and John Mahoney; his brother Edward Mahoney; his sister-in-law Carol Mahoney; his grandchildren, Natasha Farrell (Ian Farrell), Brody Mapes, Andrea Reichhart (Matthew Widick), Bailey Mahonsky (Justin Mahonsky) and Kyle Reichhart (Emilie Palacios); and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Farrell, Leah Mahonsky, Crosby Farrell, Elliot Widick, Hayden Widick and Finn Reichhart. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
