He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John R. Gavin and Mary Catherine Durkin Gavin; his wife Sarah A. Finn; and his sister Ann Eskra (Michael). He is survived by: his children, Joan Sponn (James), Mary Alice Gavin, John and Michael Gavin (Marcia); his sister Mary McTigue (Bill); his sister-in-law Mary Finn; and his grandchildren, Catherine, Alex, Michaela and Caleb.
