He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Verna and Josephine Verna; and his siblings, Loretta Sutkins, Elizabeth LaGaipa, Louise Kroll, Anna, Joel and David Verna.
He is survived by: his wife Corinne Verna; his children, Michele Bittel (James), Jonathan "Jay" Verna Jr. (Anne) and Joellyn Pierce (Michael Jr.); and his grandchildren, Vanessa, Simeon, Eleanor, Aaron, Josephine, Abigail Bittel and Joshua Verna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
During his courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease he was never afraid of what was to come.
