He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Grolling; his parents, Joseph Grolling, Sr. and Avis Grolling; his granddaughter Nicole Ryan Endres; and his brothers, William Grolling and Robert Grolling.

He is survived by: his children, Joey Grolling (Lisa), Susan Gay (John) and Kim Endres; his grandchildren, Thomas Endres, Lydia Borgus (Adam), Larina Endres (Brad), Joshua Grolling (Gilli), Kelli Convery (Luke), Jared Plummer (Stacey) and Emily Washak (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Eliza, Willa Washak, Logan Plummer, Cora, Katelynn, Waylon Convery, Bronson and Pierce Borgus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626).
