He was predeceased by: his parents, Turner Thomas and Ethel Thomas; and his siblings, Alfred Thomas, Mary Thomas and Gloria Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Haygood; his children, Latasha Walker, Desmond Sanders and London Rich; his grandchildren, Breyonna, Daequan, Janayah, Cassius, Mahogany, Dakaria, Desmond Jr., Nova and Dezmoni; his great grandchildren, Shyonna and Alonnie; and his siblings, Dorothy Adjei, Kathleen Federico, Geraldine Blake (Lambert), Jacqueline Williams and Darren Thomas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, & cousins.
