It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Brown (Rochester, New York), who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Charlotte Brown-English and Syjesman Brown. She is survived by: her sister Charlotte Monroe-Brown; her spouse Douglass Gross; her children, Roger Coley Jr., Anthony Coley (Yasmin Coley) and Leonora Coley; her grandchildren, Aziah Coley, Kadaysha Reaves, Azion Coley, Alani Coley and Amari Coley; her siblings, Vincent Brown, Victor Brown, Mahalia Brown-Cash and Kenneth Brown; and her close friend John Coley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Genesis Baptist Church (292 Hudson Ave, Rochester, NY 14605). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
