With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce M. Sheils of Rochester, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the sacred silence of farewell, Joyce is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joyce's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Bernard Dwyer and John Sheils; her sister Margaret Cleere-Kalb (Larry); and her daughter Barbara "Bunny" Vahue. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Dwyer (Lisa), Jeanne Hovey (Roy), Michael Dwyer (Caroline), Paul Dwyer (Debbie) and Kathryn Arduini (David). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that donations be directed to Journey Home or Hope Hall in her honor.
