He is survived by: his son Shawn M. Spahn; his grandson Ryan M. Herbert; his siblings, Elizabeth A. Young-Boyce (Gregory), Barbara J. Gotham (Robert), Christine M. Spahn-Giambrone, Mary Ellen Gotham, Donald R. Spahn (Rose Ann LaPorte), Lawrence R. Spahn (Carmela) and Teresa M. Allocco (William); his aunt Irene S. Eckert; and his pets, Caesar and Lucky. He is also survived by 18 nieces & nephews; 33 great-nieces & nephews; 1 great-great niece.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the Strong Memorial Pulmonary Annual Fund.
