She was predeceased by: her parents, Sadie M. Banister and Thomas A. Banister Sr.; and her brothers, Thomas A. Banister Jr. and Michael Banister. She is survived by: her husband Stephen E. Griffin Sr.; her children, Stephen Griffin Jr. and Sonja Griffin; her grandchildren, Brianna Brice (Marcus Brice), Jassiem Griffin, Jabril Griffin and Jayla Griffin; and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Jassiem Griffin and Cameron Brice. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations and Funerals (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
