She was predeceased by: her husband Colonel Elwood Larry Stephens; her parents, Charles Cunningham and Frances Stainback Leatherbury of Mobile, Alabama; and her sisters, Frances Williams of Mobile and Jane Newman of Gadsden, Alabama..

She is survived by: her sister Ann Marie Allen of Mobile, Alabama; her daughter Ashley Brodine (Alan) of Rochester, NY; her grandchildren, Brian Brodine (Danielle), Andrea Brodine, Rachel Brodine and Stephen Brodine; her great grandchild Camille Doi-Brodine; her daughter Lisa Daniel (Larry) of Fairport, NY; and her grandchildren, Angela Hicks (Trey) and Taylor Daniel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A burial will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 at 10:20 AM at the same location.
