He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Johnson and Anna Johnson; his stepmother Laura Johnson; his siblings, Evelyn, Jack and Herb; and his son Dana Johanson.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his daughter Laurel Hall; his son-in-law Steve Hall; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Christine Johanson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hall Nelson (Mann), Katherine Hall, David Hall, Elfin Johanson and Kirsten Hungerford; his great grandchildren, Demarre Nelson, Jayden Nelson, Marley, Kaya, Ember and Freya; and his great great grandchild Kairos. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a lovely option would be a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) or the Southern Poverty Law Center, which works to stand up to injustice and defend our human rights.
