She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Ernest Paul and Dr. Mary Mathews; and her brother Paul Mathews Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Simmons; her grandchildren, Saniya and Cape Mullins; her siblings, Ruth Mathews, Shaji Mathews (Nita) and Eapen Peter Mathews (Latoya); and her friends, Constance Rice (Mark Pipal), Dana Drake (Wanda), Wyvonia Fourte, Mildred Mills and Joyce Fowler (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
