It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathilde Muthig of Rochester, New York, who passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mathilde has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Anton Muthig; and her parents, Gottlieb Bruckner and Mathilde Bruckner. She is survived by: her daughter Sonja French; and her sisters, Friederike Nagy, Inge (Fritz Barta) and Hedi (Rolf Werner). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
