He was predeceased by: his father Frank Sehm; his stepfather Joseph Zummo; and his grandparents, Marian Blinebry and Willard Blinebry. He is survived by: his son John Steven Sehm; his mother Joyce Zummo; his stepmother Patricia Sehm; his brother John William Sehm (Laura); and his sibling's children, Cassidy Sehm and Jack Sehm.
