He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Kuppinger and Dr. Herbert Kuppinger; and his siblings, Jean, Marcia and Herbert, Jr..

He is survived by: his brother Jon Kuppinger; his children, Edward Kuppinger, Anne Kuppinger (Dan) and Janet Morrison (Callum); the mother of his children Tara Starrs Kuppinger; his daughter-in-law Karen Kuppinger; his grandchildren, Thomas, Colin, Nathan (Rozara), Zhanya, Sylvie, Lachlan, Ruari and Finlay; and his great grandchild Thea.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church (121 Fitzhugh St N, Rochester, NY 14614).
