She was predeceased by: her son Francisco "Kico" Mendez Jr. (Eduardo Crespo (Knights) of St. John; and her siblings, Agustin, Herostido, Eladio Hernandez and Aurea Ortiz.
She is survived by: her children, Carmen Salome (David), Margarita Ortiz, Rosemary Mahoney (Timothy), Paul Mendez, Michael Mendez, Joseph Mendez (Ada) and Mary Rizzo (Salvatore); her grandchildren, Adam Mendez (Gwen), John Cimino (Michelle), Daniel Cimino (Cheyanne), Paul James Mendez, Adalina, Joseph Mendez, Marissa Burkhardt (Karl), Juliana and Joshua Rizzo; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Chloe, Rayven, Raina, Gianna, Emma and Charlie; and her brother Juan Hernandez. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Falvo Funeral Home (1395 N Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14609). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (455 Kings Hwy S, Irondequoit, NY 14617).
